NOCEN ALUMNI SECRETARIAT COMMISSIONED
The wave of positive changes in Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, inspired by the new leadership of the College, has attracted the interest of the institution’s Alumni Association. This is made evident when the Chief Emeka Oramadike led Executive of the association paid a courtesy visit to the Provost of the College Dr Justina Anyadiegwu on Thursday 27th June, 2024.
Chief Emeka congratulated the Provost on her appointment. He stressed the need to support and partner with the management in their efforts to reposition, rebrand and improve the institution through the provisions of critical infrastructure, road network, expansion of existing facilities and portable water.
He promised to mobilise the cooperation of former graduates (alumni members) to raise the profile of the College.
In her remarks, Dr Anyadiegwu appreciated their vision and quest for a productive synergy. She encouraged them to conduct targeted programmes and designed activities to strengthen the relationship by way of providing scholarship for indigent students, to inspire and motivate, and provide employment updates to young graduates. She informed them that the College Management is doing their best to ameliorate unemployment by consistently employing their graduates over the years.
Highlight of the visit was the commissioning of the alumni secretariat which was provided by the management.
