VINCENT CHUKWUMA ASALU
Vincent Chukwuma Asalu is a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Social Studies of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State Nigeria. He joined the services of the College in 2004 as a part time lecturer and later was appointed a full time staff in September 2005. He is currently on Research fellowship as a TETFUND Visiting Scholar in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of Morgan State University, Maryland, United States.
Vincent Asalu holds a PhD in Epistemology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria, Master’s Degree in Social and Political Philosophy from the same University, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria and a Bachelor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Arts Degrees from Bigard Memorial Seminary Enugu, Nigeria in affiliation with the Pontifical Urban University Rome and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has made over thirty (30) publications consisting of Books, Book chapters, and articles in national and international journals.
Dr Vincent Asalu is a creative thinker who had served as Dean of Student Affairs from 2019-2021. He was elected as Staff Representative in the Governing Council of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe and served in that capacity from 2019-2021. He was equally elected the Chairman of the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe chapter (2012-2014). In 2014, he was appointed Special Assistant to the Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development and he served in that role from (2014-2018).
